My Name Is Pacomio
My Name is Pacomio by Steven G. Baker
Reviewed by L. Bennett
Pacomio "Paco" Chacon, was a master artist on an unusual medium, aspen trees and sandstone cliffs. Unlike many of his fellow sheep herders, Paco controlled the depth of his cuts and the fluid swirl of curved lines. His designs, which often included nude women, stand out as art and not crude fantasy. Steven Baker, author of the book, was friends with Paco and over several years their conversations revealed to Baker much about sheep herding and sheep herders. Most of Paco's time was spent in Colorado, but his experiences were typical of his profession. The book is well illustrated with Paco's art and supported by Baker's research and insights. I really enjoyed this book.
