The Truth About the Devlins
The Truth About the Devlins by Lisa Scottoline
Reviewed by L. Bennett
The Devlin family are lawyers and good at their practice. Except TJ, he never finished college and is an ex-con. He is also a recovering alcoholic, and when things go wrong for his brother, TJ is saddled with the blame. He knows he is innocent and sets out to learn the facts, only to discover that his family's law firm is in very deep trouble.
The author of this mystery, Lisa Scottoline, is a former attorney. Her experience renders the lawyers and courtroom battles credible. It was an interesting plot with sufficient twists, suspense, and good guy-bad guy scenes to honor the genre. This was the first read for me by this author and I'll try another one of her several titles.
