Recycling

RECYCLING:  We now accept recycling at our landfill.  When arriving, see attendant for directions.  Have all items separated and cleaned for proper disposal. We are not a redemption center.

Accepting the following material:

Mixed Paper - Dry material such as magazines, junk mail, paper egg cartons, cereal/cracker boxes

Corrugated Cardboard - Thick cardboard with wavy centers inside

#1 PET Plastics - Commonly used for water/soda bottles

#2 Natural HDPE Plastic - Commonly used for milk and vinegar jugs.  Material will be "opaque" in color

#2 Color HDPE Plastic - Commonly used for laundry detergent & shampoo bottles.  Material will be solid in color

#5 PP Plastic - Commonly used for butter, sour cream & yogurt tubs, some to-go cups and prescription bottles

Aluminum Cans - Typical beverage cans used for soda, beer, sparkling water, etc.

Steel/Tin Cans/Metal Lids - Typical cans used for soup, vegetables, pasta sauce, etc.

Glass Bottles/Jars - Remove lids and recycle with tin cans.  No lightbulbs, ceramics, porcelain or oven safe glass.

Also accepting recycling materials at the La Sal Transfer Station (Friday & Saturday only) & Bluff (at old elementary school) every other Friday & Saturday.
